Lorna is the founder of G UP Drama Company; she is running the G UP Drama Summer School from 21st July 2008. The classes will continue in term time.
She will also be starting a Women’s Drama group commencing on 8th September 2008.

Lorna continues to run various Drama Workshops for Collective Artistes, Connexions and New Leader Foundation.

Lorna directed ‘Missing’ a play commissioned by Talawa Theatre Company in September 2007. ‘Missing’ was shown in 40 Schools across London

Lorna ran a series of drama workshops for young people at London’s D & B School of Performing Arts, Kent, for 2 years.

Lorna has utilised her skills in various community teaching projects also. From 1999-2002 she managed the Telegraph Hill Play Scheme, where she wrote, produced and directed a play that was performed by local 11-16 year olds.

Although her passion lies in nurturing the early signs of talent, Lorna has also been commissioned by the Drill Hall Theatre to devise a series of adult drama workshops.

Lorna will be writing and directing a play for the Grassmarket Project (GMP) sometime in 2008 The multi award-winning theatre company places “…issues of social exclusion and social justice…” at the forefront of its work with young people, and provides them “… the opportunity to work alongside the very best professional actors…”
Lorna will be working with young ex-offenders in particular, as part of the GMP’s recent focus on ‘youth at risk’.

Whilst currently considering teaching positions, Lorna’s long-term plans include opening a theatre school in Brixton for young people in particular. A rich wealth of life experience will continue to stand the performer in good stead for developing rapport with youth from varied backgrounds.
